Project Overview:

This project involved a strategic expansion of the home by adding 400 square feet to create a luxurious en-suite. The addition was carefully designed to meet the homeowners’ needs, featuring a private balcony, a cozy fireplace in the main room, and a spa-inspired bathroom complete with a freestanding tub and sauna.

• Foundation & Framing: Built on a raised foundation with significant seismic
  retrofitting to enhance the structural integrity of the entire home.
• En-Suite: Designed for relaxation, featuring a freestanding tub, steam generator,
  and heated floors for year-round comfort.
• Main Room: Includes a private fireplace, adorned with shiplap paneling, blending
  traditional charm with a modern, cozy feel.

Objectives:

The primary goal was to create a private sanctuary that combines luxury with functionality. This addition not only enhanced the home’s living space but also elevated its comfort and style. By integrating modern amenities like heated floors and a steam shower with classic elements such as the fireplace and shiplap, the project achieved a perfect balance between elegance and warmth.
